Who is Tuluni?
Tuluni International LLC is a U.S.-based international consulting firm dedicated to advancing financial inclusion, food security, and climate resilience. Since its founding, Tuluni has supported nonprofit organizations, foundations, and impact-focused fund managers by providing non-discretionary investment advisory services. These services include investment pipeline development, financial and operational due diligence, underwriting support, and the preparation of investment memoranda and related documentation. To date, Tuluni has contributed to over US $135 million in social impact transactions.
Tuluni does not make investment decisions or provide advice to individual investors, and it does not act as a registered investment adviser under the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940. All services are performed on a non-discretionary basis at the direction of and for the exclusive use of institutional or nonprofit clients.
Established in 2014, the firm was originally registered in the State of Florida and re-domiciled to Minnesota in 2022, where it is currently registered and based.
Tuluni’s team of regional consultants operates across the United States, Mexico, Bolivia, Colombia, Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala, under the leadership of CEO Joshua Miguel Jongewaard.
Our Services
Tuluni provides non-discretionary investment consulting support to social impact funds and mission-driven institutional clients. Our work focuses on the following areas, in accordance with client instructions and without exercising investment discretion:
Investment Origination and Pipeline Management: Supporting the identification and qualification of prospective investments aligned with client strategies.
Investment Underwriting and Due Diligence: Conducting financial, operational, and impact assessments under the guidance of the client’s investment criteria.
Investment Memos and Investment Committee Presentations: Drafting memos and presentation materials for client investment committee use; all decisions are made solely by the client.
Deal Closing Support: Coordinating with client legal teams, back-office operations, and local counsel to ensure smooth execution and documentation of approved transactions.
Portfolio Monitoring and Risk Management: Assisting with the collection, analysis, and reporting of portfolio data for performance tracking and risk flagging.
Investment Workouts and Restructuring: Providing factual and analytical support during portfolio restructuring efforts, under direction from the client.
